Nixplay Seed is sharp

Nixplay, makers of quality digital photo frames, just came out with their Seed line. It’s a WiFi connected device that can connect to the likes of Dropbox, Instagram, Facebook and other online apps, so you’re able to display photos from those apps right on the frame. The Nixplay Seed also has it’s own e-mail address so anyone can email you photos, and drop them right in the frame without lifting a finger. A companion app (for Android and iOS) is also available, which allows you to upload photos directly from your phone.

Nixplay Seed Features

As mentioned, the Nixplay Seed allows you to add pictures using the cloud, so no more manually adding your digital shots to a frame’s hard drive. The Seed works in either landscape or portrait orientation, and a power-saving option activates the screen when there’s motion in the room and deactivates it when there’s not.

Nixplay Web App allows you to easily organize your photos

Another nifty design element is the power cord, which doubles as the frame’s stand. And as mentioned, the Seed gives you access to all your favorite photos on Facebook, Instagram, Dropbox, Flickr & Google Photos, or allows you to upload new ones to create dedicated playlists on the safe and secure free Nixplay Web App.

Nixplay Seed comes in 3 sizes and 4 colors

Other Functions

The Nixplay Seed digital photo frames can accommodate up to 1,000 pictures and have the frames display them in sequence or shuffled. There’s also the new “sharing” feature, which is pretty nice. It allows you to share galleries or individual photos with people who have their own Nixplay frames, allowing them to add your photos to theirs easily. The share feature is a breeze to use, thanks to Nixplay’s mobile app, which you can use to manage multiple Seed frames. Anyone with an Android or iOS device can download the app and send photos to your frame, regardless of whether or not they own a Nixplay frame.

The motion sensor we mentioned earlier not only turns the device on and off when you enter the room, but it also allows you to create captions for your photos in conjunction with the app.

Bottom Line

NixPlay’s Seed digital photo frames are a fun accessory for any home, and dare we say, they may be the sleekest, most robust in terms of function, and easy to use digital frames out there.
